Woe! How ill a fate... for ’tis decreed that the Descent of Darkness shall mark the beginning of a new era... a time of hatred and contempt, of sorrow and despair. Thus spake the prophet Eréimul (Aesthurian translation of an excerpt from the Codex of Eréimul). |

I would like to announce the creation of a new blog directed to role playing game designers. It is called The Den: Lost in RPG design. You should have little trouble remembering its address, since it's almost the same as this site: http://umbrarumregnum.110mb.com/the-den.
The Den is a multiuser blog, all the editors being RPG designers, roguelike developers, and, what's important, game lovers. That's right, game lovers. Why's that so significant? Because a good deal of inspiration can be found in other games, not necessarily RPG.
Two articles have so far been written, one about an ancient game called Frontier: First Encounters, the other is the first part of a bigger work about data structures in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. If I have sparked your interest, which I hopefully have, then wait no more and jump into The Den! Have fun reading our ranting!
