I have decided to maximise Drupal possibilities. The first step was the creation of a new theme (the one you can see right now). It's quick work, so there might be some quirks here and there, and of course I might be refining things little by little. It's not the final theme yet, I still want to make it fluid width instead of fixed, but that's surprisingly difficult once there's a fully working fixed width one with a medium to high grade of complexity (for instance, there are separate style sheets for Firefox, IE6 and IE7+, the longest of which has 27kB and over 1700 lines of code).

I added cool blocks for different nodes, so the blog items in the posts list appear visually separated (at last). Unfortunately, previous blog items appear to be nested (I was always wondering about a strange display issue with them, since they weren't separated from each other). I didn't have enough time to have a look at it yet, although I'm not sure I care about it that much :).

The second step towards making UR site a bit more "professional" was adding a working WYSIWYG editor. This post has been written using TinyMCE. There's still some work to be done here as well, but at least it works. Deleting nodes seems to be broken now, but that's not a critical issue that would need to be addressed immediately. After all, I don't do massive node deleting using the edit form.
